Ingredients
500 g flour
15 g yeast
75 g sugar
1/4 liter milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
80 g butter
500 ml Brändle vita peanut oil
100 g powdered sugar
Preparation
- Put the flour in a bowl and keep warm. Mix the yeast with a little sugar and lukewarm milk. Make a well in the center of the flour and mix in the yeast and milk to form a thick pre-dough. Cover the bowl with a cloth and keep warm.
- After about 30 minutes, add the sugar, salt, and lukewarm milk to the pre-dough and mix everything together. Add the warmed eggs, melted butter, and enough milk to make a soft dough. Knead until bubbles appear and the dough comes away from the spoon/bowl. Then cover it again and leave it in a warm place to rise.
- After about 30 minutes, roll out the dough to about the thickness of a finger, cut out squares with a pastry wheel, and then fry them in hot peanut oil until they are light brown. Remove from the oil and drain well.
- Once cooled, sprinkle the doughnuts with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar as desired.
