Donuts

Makes 15 pieces
Ingredients
0,2 l milk
1 sachet yeast
500 g flour
75 g sugar
3 eggs
75 ml cooking oil
1 pinch salt
1 l Bändle vita frying and deep-frying oil
Powdered sugar
Chocolate icing for coating
Preparation
- Pour the lukewarm milk into a baking bowl, add the crumbled yeast and mix with the milk.
- Add a quarter of the flour, stir it into a very soft pre-dough.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Add the remaining flour, sugar, eggs, oil and salt to the pre-dough and knead everything well.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 20 minutes, then knead it again.
- Form a thick roll from the dough and cut it into 15 slices. Pat the dough slices evenly flat and press a hole in the center so-that rings are formed.
- Place the rings on a floured surface and let rise, covered, for 15 minutes.
- Heat the oil for frying in a large pan, saucepan or deep fryer to approx. 180 °C.
- Drop the donuts in batches into the hot oil and fry on both sides until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a wire rack or paper towel.
- After cooling, dust with powdered sugar or cover with chocolate icing.
